1. Agreement
By accessing verifyuniverse.com or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
The service is operated by VerifyUniverse, a United States company established in 2025, located at 1386 Maley Hollow Rd, Dayton, Tennessee 37321, USA.
2. The service
VerifyUniverse provides dedicated virtual phone numbers and related inbox features so you can receive SMS (and, where offered, voice or voicemail) for verification, second lines and similar legitimate uses. Markets, capabilities and pricing may change; current self-serve markets and prices are shown on our pricing page.
Features described as coming soon, in beta or frontend-only previews are not guaranteed until generally available. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We may require email verification or other checks before purchase or number assignment to reduce fraud and abuse.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase a plan.
4. Plans, pricing and billing
Numbers are offered for fixed terms (for example one week, one month, six months or twelve months) at the prices displayed at checkout in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply.
- Billing for a number generally starts when you select and successfully purchase that number for a term.
- Plans are prepaid for the selected term unless we explicitly offer auto-renew (not currently the default).
- Fees are generally non-refundable once a number has been provisioned, except where required by law or where we fail to deliver the core service after a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue.
- Payment processing is handled by third-party processors; their terms also apply to the payment step.
We may refuse, cancel or reverse orders that appear fraudulent, abusive or in violation of these Terms.
5. Numbers, delivery and third parties
Numbers are assigned from available inventory via telecommunications and messaging partners. Area codes, exact digit patterns and immediate availability are not guaranteed. Delivery of SMS and calls depends on carriers, the sending platform and network conditions outside our full control.
Verification acceptance. Third-party platforms (banks, social networks, marketplaces and others) set their own rules about which numbers they accept for account verification. We do not guarantee that any particular platform will accept a VerifyUniverse number. Where we surface guidance about supported use cases, treat it as informational, not a warranty.
You do not own the telephone number. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the assigned number for the purchased term, subject to these Terms, carrier rules and applicable law. When a term ends or you release a number, your right to use it ends and inbox access may be removed.
6. Acceptable use
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited uses include spam, fraud, illegal activity, and abusive verification practices. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
7. Intellectual property
The site, branding, software and documentation are owned by VerifyUniverse or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape at scale, reverse engineer or misuse our marks except as allowed by law or with our written permission. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCEPTED BY ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM FOR VERIFICATION OR OTHER PURPOSES.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERIFYUNIVERSE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify VerifyUniverse against claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and release numbers according to available account controls. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations, non-payment, legal risk, or harm to the service or others. Provisions that by nature should survive (including payment obligations already accrued, disclaimers, limitations and indemnity) survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply. Courts located in Tennessee will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to those mandatory protections. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
